This flag of Germany's northernmost state combines the traditional tricolor of blue, white, and red with the official coat of arms of Schleswig-Holstein. A powerful symbol of regional identity, North German pride, and historical heritage.

Description & Background:

The state flag of Schleswig-Holstein consists of three horizontal stripes in the colors blue, white, and red – a symbol of the close connection between the two former duchies of Schleswig and Holstein. The coat of arms combines the two historical symbols.
