The Liewer düd as Slav 1844 flag is a piece of regional history reinterpreted, inspired by the oldest flag with the North Frisian coat of arms, which was hoisted at the first North Frisian folk festival on June 10, 1844 in Bredstedt.
Today the original is located in the Institute for History, Culture and Language of the North Frisians in Bredstedt, after having been safely stored in a vault for 50 years and now restored through a donation.
We have taken great care to recreate this historical piece as accurately as possible so that everyone has the opportunity to order a piece of local history for their flagpole. Make this unique piece of history your own today.
